Krista Weaver

Biography

Krista Weaver is an experienced insurance professional specializing in complex claims management. She brings over two decades of industry experience, with progressive roles among industry leading carriers and third-party administrators.  Throughout her career, she has developed a deep expertise in claims investigation, coverage analysis, and litigation management, consistently managing technically complex claims to successful outcomes.  In addition to her claims roles, Krista's background also includes leadership roles in training, business development and project management/restoration; this diverse experience has strengthened her well-rounded knowledge in the insurance industry.

Krista currently serves as a Liability Claims Specialist in the Major Case Unit at Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies, where she manages the company’s highest-exposure general liability claims with a focus on wrongful death, negligent security and premises liability cases.  In addition, she plays a key role in Third-Party Administrator (TPA) oversight, serving as the primary liaison between the TPA and carrier partners, while monitoring claims-handling performance and ensuring effective management of large-exposure losses.

In her free time, she likes to spend time with her fiancé and three dogs, play flag football, and organize adult flag football leagues and tournaments. Fun Fact – she is a Guiness Book of World Records holder as a part of the team that organized the World’s Largest Flag Football Tournament!
